"What really won my respect was the Green Trails initiative. Watching our entire team pull 40kg of old plastic debris down from the mountain transformed my entire outlook on responsible eco-tourism. A truly life-changing trek."

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about preparing for your first India Treks expedition.

Not necessarily. We have specific treks categorized as Easy-Moderate (like Kedarkantha or Dayara Bugyal) that are perfectly designed for fit beginners. However, regardless of the difficulty, all our treks require a mandatory baseline fitness level, which we help you achieve through our dedicated 30-day pre-trek fitness program.

Absolutely not. At India Treks, we believe in a circular economy. We provide a highly subsidized Gear Rental Portal where you can rent premium heavy down jackets, trekking shoes, gaiters, micro-spikes, and trekking poles for 10% of their retail cost.

Safety is our foundational pillar. We conduct bi-daily oxygen and pulse checks for every trekker. Our Trek Leaders are certified Wilderness First Responders and carry a comprehensive High Altitude Medical Kit, including portable oxygen cylinders, HAPO bags, and specialized stretchers on every single departure.

The Green Trails initiative is our commitment to leaving the mountains better than we found them. As a trekker, you will be provided with an Eco-Bag to collect your personal waste as well as any litter found on the trail. We strictly prohibit wet wipes, single-use plastics, and disposable bottles on our campsites.
